
Application Process
Grantees must submit a complete application to be considered for funding. The application process takes place in two phases, with each submission evaluated by the Grants Committee —a group composed of representatives from regional and national foundations and public funders, in addition to community members and young people from Northern New Mexico. This committee will review applications at both stages to determine which proposals move forward and ultimately receive funding.

Phase I
Applicants will submit a letter of inquiry through a fillable form template on the New Mexico Community Trust website with the following information:

Basic organizational information including name, mission statement, organizational contact information, and point(s) of contact for the project.

Whether the entity is applying to implement a CTE or WBL program or to serve as the regional resource hub.
​

A project description of the project and how the project will advance equity.
​

Total amount requested.

Attach documents proving the entity applying is eligible (see below for eligibility determination).
The Grants Committee will review submitted letters of inquiry and determine which entities will advance to Phase II.​
Phase II
Applicants will fill out an online application form and provide two letters of support from partners, community organizations, or stakeholders along with a detailed description of:​

The need for the project, including any partnerships and collaborative efforts with community organizations, schools, young people, and/or families and any research conducted.

How the project will advance equity and local career pathways.The goals of the project, ensuring they are measurable and achievable and aligned with the goals of the Northern New Mexico Youth Fund.

The activities and milestones that would be completed to achieve these goals.The project budget and a narrative description of budget items.Information on other funding applied for and secured related to the proposed project, including why the grant is needed considering other secured and anticipated funding.

How the project would be measured and evaluated to determine success and relevant learnings.​

Grant Applicants need to provide:

Two (2) letters of support from partners, community organizations, or stakeholders.

To promote equity and storytelling, grant applicants are welcome to provide the following:

Videos, photos, or links (e.g., video explanations, photo voice projects, portfolios)Stories and narratives that illustrate impact, context, and community needs.
