Frequently Asked Questions

What are the available grant amounts?

  • Grant amounts will range from $50,000 to $100,000 for 1 year.

 

How long is the funding period?

  • Grants will be for 1 year but they can be renewed and increased, depending on outcomes and funds available.

 

What types of grants are offered?

  • Grants will be general operating support grants to smaller entities, with project-based grants to larger and public entities that still provide flexibility to support capacity-building.

 

What information must grantees provide in their final reports?

Process:

  • Grantees will complete an online reporting form to reduce grantee burden while ensuring consistency and alignment across all projects.

  • Grantees may provide a narrative report and /or a multimedia submission that includes storytelling and qualitative insights.

 

All reports, regardless of format, will include the following content:

  • Direct Program Outcomes: Describe whether the goals agreed upon during the grant application and award process were achieved and how success was measured;

  • Contribution to Shared Knowledge: Describe lessons learned, challenges encountered, and opportunities for improvement or collaboration in future initiatives;

  • Financial Report: Describe how funds were expended to achieve the grant outcomes and goals;

  • Open comment section: Anything else the grantee would like to share about the project; and,

  • Optional space: Other elements or future activity the grantee  would like to see from the program.

 

How will grant success be evaluated?

  • ​The Strategy Table will determine if the grants made through the Youth Fund were successful based on the evaluation framework being established by the Strategy Table with support from MC2 Education, LLC, including the following information:

    • Clear progress made toward the goals and milestones in the submitted application, as reflected in the final report and associated materials;

    • Information shared with the regional resource hub and cohort members about successes, best practices, resources, and lessons learned;

    • Site visits that allow funders to observe and validate project impact firsthand, enhancing understanding of the program’s value and its outcomes beyond written descriptions; and,

    • Focus groups and surveys by MC2 Education, LLC.

 

What are the requirements for grantees?

  • Acknowledge and Promote: Publicly recognize the Strategy Table and the Northern New Mexico Youth Fund in external communications about the funded project.

  • Engage with Grantee Community: Participate in, at a minimum, a 90-minute, quarterly grantee cohort meetings, including shared learning opportunities.

  • Provide Project Updates: Submit a final report at the conclusion of the grant according to the grant agreement requirements.

  • Support Program Evaluation: Collaborate with  MC2 Education, LLC for the Strategy Table-wide evaluation, including connecting with grant beneficiaries.

  • Share Their Experience: Participate in a focus group and complete an anonymous survey to provide valuable feedback on their experience as a grantee.
